Christ is the name for the indwelling presence of God in everything—a unifying principle, found not just in Christians or the “saved.” Christ reveals the underlying pattern of reality (the life–death–resurrection cycle) as a universal template for all of life. Rohr insists on the need for inner transformation, based on Jesus' command to love God and neighbor, to recognize divine presence in the world.
