The Reverend Holly Tomilson comes to us with an understanding of how churches are changing in this new century. She is excited to be a minister during this time of change for churches, especially small rural churches like Newfields Community Church. Together we are rethinking how our small church can be a beacon of hope in the Newfields community and beyond through spiritual growth, mission work, and authentic worship. Pastor Holly received her Master of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School in 2013. While there she did a concentration in Spiritual and Pastoral Care. Her pastoral passions include mental health, substance abuse, poverty, homelessness and inclusion for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Pastor Holly has worked both as a chaplain and in parish ministry. She has served in churches in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. She is a staunch Trinitarian, who celebrates God in all God’s ways of Creator, Christ and Holy Spirit. Pastor Holly commutes to us from Deerfield, NH where she lives with her husband Jim, and a tortoiseshell cat named Cub. She loves reading, movies, playing board games and a variety of card games. She especially enjoys playing Cribbage. Holly describes herself as a “kitchen person,” someone who likes to hang around in the kitchen talking, cooking, and of course, eating.
